The Trinidad and Tobago Photographic Society (ttps) was established to promote the art and science of photography and to  celebrate the wealth of photographic talent in T+T.

A non-profit organization, the ttps is dedicated to stimulating interest in photography and improving the photographic skills of its members.

The organization is open to all, whatever level of experience or knowledge. No qualifications are required to join, only a passion and love of photography in all its genres.

The organization provides opportunities to share knowledge, meet and learn from other photographers and to develop photographic interests and skills.

Catherine  Bain

A doctor by profession, with a passion for photography, Cathy has had a camera from the age of 8 and has always been involved in photography.  Landscapes and people are her focus spanning both black and white and more recently colour images. She is a founder member of the society.



Rachel Lee Young

An electronic engineer by training, she has developed her life-long love of photography extensively during the last 15 years and is now a professional photographer. She is well known for her stunning landscape and nature images and is a founder member of the Society.

James B Solomon

A professional photographer & educator, James has interacted with & photographed over two million people & trained hundreds of international photographers. “Photography is my life time professional commitment, an all encompassing, 24/7, never-looked-back passion!’”

Stephen Jameson        

An architect with a wonderful talent for photography and keen eye for art and design. With portfolios of people and places as his main focus, Stephen’s photographs are always unusual and inspiring. He is one of the founder members.

Brian Lopes

A professional photographer for the last 10 years and hobbyist photographer since the age of 17, Brian specialises in  images of people. “I’ve always loved the reaction from someone over an image that was captured in a moment that they knew not existed. That’s what photography is to me – capturing and preserving a moment in time!”
